Introducing Mallen Studio

Martin and Tony, circa 1990.

We’re Martin and Tony Allen, brothers from the Isle of Wight.

We grew up outdoors - skateboarding, messing about on boats, building stuff in our dad’s shed, and spending as much time as possible by the sea. That shaped the way we work: practical, hands‑on, and drawn to things that feel real. We’ve since moved to Bristol and are building Mallen Studio around those same values and because we realised something simple: brands need more content than ever, and they need it quickly.

Martin has been behind the camera since the age of 10. He’s worked with brands including Dyson and Musto, photographed extreme sports athletes such as Matt Pritchard, Marc Churchill, and Tom Court, and captured everything from large industry events to sailing commissions including Cowes Week.

Tony has always been creative at heart, from designing and making tattoos, to developing an early fascination with how ideas take shape in the real world. He took the less conventional route to get here - Physics at uni, then 20 years in marketing recruitment and client services, working closely with brands, agencies, tech start-ups, B Corp scale-ups, and global businesses.

Marketing teams are under pressure to produce a lot of visual content, fast - but if it feels generic or off‑brand, it never does what it’s supposed to do.

Mallen Studio is a human‑directed AI photography and visual content studio. We help brands create distinctive imagery that feels authentic, polished, and made with intent. We also help them create more of it, faster and at scale, so they can keep up with the pace of modern marketing without sacrificing quality.

What we do sits between creative direction, photography, and content production. We help shape visual ideas, create brand imagery, and build flexible content libraries that can be used across multiple channels and formats. Whether a brand needs a one‑off campaign or an ongoing stream of content, we exist to make it happen in a way that feels efficient and credible.

We’re NOT an AI slop factory!

Every project is shaped by human judgement, creative direction, and meticulous quality control. AI is part of the process, but it’s never the whole process. We care about making work that feels believable, brand‑led, and carefully considered, so it holds up in the real world and in the minds of the people seeing it.

Our purpose is to give brands a better way to produce visual content at scale without losing their identity. That means creating imagery and content systems that can stretch across paid social, websites, campaigns, and wider marketing activity while still feeling consistent and true to the brand.

We’re also building a good business. That means thinking carefully about how we work, all stakeholders, and the kind of studio we want to become over time. We’re baking in B Corp principles from the start, but we know that doing things properly takes time. We’re still young, and we want to grow in a way that stays true to our values rather than rushing past them. Caring is good, commitment is better.

The value we bring is more content, made faster, with the level of care needed to make it genuinely useful. That means work that looks good, performs well, and feels like it belongs to the brand it’s made for.

We’re building Mallen Studio deliberately, choosing projects carefully, and focusing on work where quality, authenticity, and responsibility all matter equally.
